MISTER ADAM (aka Adam Oostenbrink) is a (typo)graphic designer, printmaker, and design educator at ArtEZ University of the Arts. From his studio in Amsterdam he is creating multi-disciplinary works for a wide range of clients. Using both digital and traditional techniques, his type-o-graphic style is unstrained, colorful, lively and outspoken.

Adam has been working for global brands like Nikon, TNT Worldwide and Adidas, but also creates independent work and initiates personal projects.
Crucial to this practice are traditional printing techniques, experimentation, and a love for typography. In the graphic workshop, inks are mixed and letterforms selected, giving rise to series of typographic compositions. Once the ink has dried, these diverse compositions serve as source material for unique collages. The aim of this approach is to develop a spontaneous, exploratory way of working —a process that is ongoing; some of the final results will eventually form the basis for new work.

Adam’s work has been involved in a number of publications and exhibitions.
